Welcome to the Lions Wrestling Club. We promote the sport of wrestling in the McLean, Langley, Great Falls, Falls Church and Arlington areas of northern Virginia. We welcome beginners as well as experienced wrestlers ages 5 to 14 years old. We are part of the Northern Virginia Wrestling Federation (NVWF) which consists of clubs throughout northern Virginia. New wrestlers are always welcome. The NVWF is the perfect place for beginning wrestlers to learn the sport. Rookies are typically matched against other rookies at our weekly meets.  

Our mission is to teach the sport of wrestling and to teach the values and character traits that wrestling reinforces. These include dedication and hard work as the path to success, a refusal to give up, an attitude of personal confidence, and most of all, taking responsibility for one's own successes and failures. We also strive to ensure that the kids have fun and we measure our success as a youth program by retention rate.
 
Our typical season runs from mid-Nov through late Feb. Practices will be two times a week for our older wrestlers (likely Mon and Thu this season) and two times a week for our younger wrestlers (likely Wed and Sat this season). Tournaments are held on Sundays, usually starting in mid-Dec and continuing until the end of Feb. 

Registration for the 2022-23 season opens on 1 October.
